The Last Rite puja ceremony elevates the decreased, invokes auspiciousness and sets the soul free from the bondage of his last earthly existence. It can be done in a simple way with a picture, or on the actual burning ground. Prices vary in this case. It takes normally 2 - 4 hours to perform the ritual, excluding the preparation. Travel cost and expenses (like fire wood, fruits etc.) are not included and have to be talked over personally. In general there is a donation given to the purohit and the value for the ceremony is balanced by this. Please see under Donation the guidelines.
