The first grains are recommended to be Vishnu Prasad (temple offerings) and are supported with a small Homa. It takes normally 2 hours to perform the ritual, excluding the preparation. Travel cost and expenses (like fire wood, fruits etc.) are not included and have to be talked over personally. In general there is a donation given to the purohit and the value for the ceremony is balanced by this. Please see under Donation the guidelines.
